RESOURCE LIBRARY

The aim of this resource library is to provide a source of information on what is available by way of books and audiovisual material with a view to helping the members of our churches to deal with life issues from a biblical perspective.

Other interested people are of course more than welcome to make use of the information on this website.

The idea of  setting  up a resource library originated from discussions at women’s club meetings of the Free Reformed Church of Armadale. A steering committee was formed to look into the feasibility of setting up a resource library. In time this steering committee was converted into the resource library committee and a constitution was adopted in 2005.

The purpose as stated in the constitution reads as follows:

To research, establish and manage a Resource Library with the purpose of assisting members of the Free reformed Churches of Australia to cope with the challenges of  life from a Christian perspective.

Beyond this introductory page you will find excerpts of books dealing with marriage and the upbringing of children from a very young age through to adolescence and an excerpt on the book "Getting to the Other Side of Grief".

In addition to books on varied subjects we also have a DVD course on marriage preparation . This course also lends itself very well for married couples. The resource committee is quite happy to organise and run evening sessions for small groups of engaged and/or married couples.

You can find more information on the course under the category of "marriage".

Our plan for the future  is to widen our scope and to move on to other areas . At present we are busy finding suitable material that might be helpful to parents and others in their dealings with children and adults with special needs.
